Challenge Fund Producer (CoSTAR / BFI Initiative)

Challenge Fund Producer — Sustainability, Accessibility & AI in UK Screen

I am currently working as Challenge Fund Producer on a BFI-funded initiative delivered through Goldsmiths University under the CoSTAR Network.

In this role I project-manage a national initiative exploring sustainability, accessibility, equitable futures and the role of AI in the UK screen ecosystem. The work involves convening cross-sector collaborators, designing programme frameworks, stewarding resources and shaping strategic conversations that position emerging technologies and inclusive practice at the heart of screen futures.

My responsibilities include supporting research and prototyping around emerging technologies (especially AI), embedding accessibility best practice across initiatives, and creating sustainable pathways for screen practitioners from under-represented backgrounds. The role sits at the intersection of cultural strategy, screen practice and technology futures, and reflects my longstanding interest in how creative systems evolve when grounded in equity, ecological thinking and sensorily attuned modes of world-making.

This initiative is part of the CoSTAR Network — a research and practice network focused on creative, ethical, speculative and technological questions in screen and time-based media, supported by the BFI Challenge Fund.
